junnu - 2

Junnu is a popular milk pudding which is prepared from the first day milk of cattle usually the cow or buffalo.
Junnu is usually made from colostrum's milk also called as the first milk . Colostrum milk is very rich in fat and other nutrients.Junnu has a very unique and heavenly taste and it is traditionally made from junnu paalu (i.e. lactating milk). If you prepare junnu with junnu paalu then it is very healthy and nutritious as the milk is rich with antibodies and immune factors.
Now a days, it is difficult to get the colostrum milk, so one alternative is to make this pudding with condensed milk.
Junnu is favorite pudding to many. It is called as Posu in Konkani, Ginnu in Kannada and Kharvas in Marathi.
